Veronica, nimbed and veiled with wimple, grasps with both hands, sudarium showing image of head of Christ, rays as cross nimbus. She stands in arched opening to vaulted interior with leaded windows.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament inhabited by hybrid man, and fantastic animal with face on hindquarters. Text and miniature framed on three sides by gold bars decorated with flowers and intertwining vines.
