John Baptist, nimbed, wearing animal skinand mantle, holding book with right hand, indicates with left hand nimbed man, probably Christ, with joined hands (?) in background. Lamb of God, nimbed, stands at feet of John.
Scene in landscape with trees, body of water and herd of deer, including stag, some grazing, one drinking on shore.
Margins decorated with border of flowers including viola and hempnettle, and inhabited by butterfly, fly, mouse and snail.
