Within architectural setting of decorated arch inscribed within rectangle, supported on columns to outside of which curtains are tied, Evangelist Mark inscribed "Picture of Saint Mark" (Ge'ez), nimbed, holding pen in right hand and tablet in left hand, seated on cross-surmounted chair before four vessels, and lectern attached to the framing column.
