Evangelist Luke, decorated nimbus, seated in chair, writes on scroll with pseudo-inscription, draped over lapdesk attached to the chair. Behind the chair, sits Evangelist symbol (ox), decorated nimbus.
Figures against patterned background within arched, decorated frame.
In upper margin, man holds onto tendril. Putto.
In right margin, man riding animal, possibly ass.
In lower margin (bas-de-page), putto holds foliate extension, and second putto rides snail (Scene, Burlesque: Riding).
Marginal figures are unpainted underdrawings set within painted foliate border with flowers and acanthus leaves.
