Christ: Presentation -- Joseph the Carpenter, holding dove with right hand, raising left hand stands behind Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, holding with both hands, nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus. She stands next to draped altar on which is candlestick, looking toward Simeon extending both hands, one draped toward the Christ Child. At left are woman, veiled with wimple, prophetess Anna, wearing headdress, holding candle with left hand, and man wearing pointed hat; at right is another man wearing pointed hat.
Interior scene with columns supporting vault or canopy above altar; leaded windows in background.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament inhabited by bird. Three scrolls inscribed ECCE UENIET AD TEMPLUM SANCTUM SUUM DOMINATOR D(OMI)N(U)S GAUDE ET LETARE SYON OCCURRE SALUATORI FILIO; SUSCEPIMUS DEUS MISERICORDIAM TUAM IN MEDIO TEMPLI TUI (Psalm 48:10, Vulg., 47:11); NUNC DIMITTIS DOMINE SERUUM TUUM IN PACE (Luke 2:29, variant).
