Virgin Mary: Infancy, Instruction – Seated on throne with trefoil decoration, Anna, veiled with wimple, holds open book with pseudo-inscriptions in left hand, and with right hand supports in her lap youthful Virgin Mary, crowned, supporting on Her lap, nude Christ Child, all nimbed and beneath canopy inscribed IH(E)S(US) MARIA S(AN)C(T)A A(NNA). Margins decorated with scrolling border of acanthus and pea flowers. Miniature facing the beginning of Memoria to St. Anne.
