David: rebuked by Nathan and David: communicating with God -- Nathan, wearing hat, with right hand indicates bust of God in arc of Heaven emitting rays. With left hand, Nathan gestures toward David, crowned, with joined hands, kneeling on one knee, looking up toward God in the arc of Heaven. Harp, partially in sack, is on floor next to David.
Miniature enclosed in frame supported by columns decorated with fleurs-de-lis.
