Shepherds: Annunciation -- Three shepherds, one wearing hat, two wearing hoods, two with left hand raised, one with joined hands raised, sit on ground next to two dogs, bagpipe, and prone man. All look up toward half figure of angel, holding scroll with right hand and extending left hand, in cloud-edged arc of heaven. At left, one of two other shepherds, holding pedum, wearing tall hat, indicates angel; at right are two shepherdesses, both wearing headdresses, one holding pedum. Scene in landscape with trees, sheep, buildings surrounded by wattle fence, and city in background.
Miniature of grisaille and gold with painted accents, within Italianate architectural frame with two plaques inscribed IESVS and MARIA, decorated with foliate ornament, foliate capitals, scrolls, and three winged lions (?).
