Heraldry, French: Claude Molé -- Standing on grass with flowers, two standing black men, wearing earrings and kerchiefs, one with scabbard slung from waist, both support heraldic escutcheon of Claude Molé (gules, two stars or, and crescent argent), and helmet, surmounted by crest of scrolling acanthus foliage (gules and or) and nude female figure holding scroll inscribed with his motto, CVIDER DECOIT. Miniature within gold frame.
