Legend, Tristan and Isolde: Palamedes leaving Tournament at Leverzep Castle -- In foreground, Palamedes, wearing gold helmet with plume, black armor, shield at left shoulder, is astride bridled horse wearing face armor surmounted with fleur-de-lis, back turned to tournament. In background, large group of confronted knights, wearing helmets and armor, many holding lances, some lowered, some with shields, astride bridled horses, some with trappings.
