Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crowned with thorns, eyes closed, head inclined, in loin cloth, with His blood flowing from wounds in hands, side, and feet, is affixed with three nails to cross, with titulus, INRI. He is flanked by Virgin Mary, veiled, with her ams crossed on breast, and Evangelist John, with his right hand raised, looking up toward Christ. In background is landscape and buildings of city.
Margins are decorated with floreate border, inhabited by bird and by bear, wearing muzzle, wrestling with lion.
