New Testament:
Christ: Entombment -- Christ, nimbed, with crown of thorns, wearing short loincloth, is lowered into sarcophagus. Either Joseph of Arimathea or Nicodemus holds Him under the arms with draped hands; the other, wearing hat, bends over holding His legs. Behind the sarcophagus Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, grasps left arm of Christ; Evangelist John holds with left hand, and kisses, His left hand. They are flanked by two Holy Women, veiled with wimples, one holding draped hand to face.
Caption DIE BEGREBNUS DESS HERREN is above miniature.
Prophets:
At left, half-figure of Isaiah holding with both hands scroll with inscription ET ERIT SEPULCRUM EIUS GLORIOSUM (Isaiah 11:10) continued by German commentary; below, half-figure of David, wearing turban-like hat pierced by three fleur-des-lis, raising right hand, holding with left hand scroll with inscription cited as Psalm 40.
At right, half-figure of prophet with draped head, indicating his head with right hand, holding blank scroll with left hand; below, Jeremiah, wearing cap, indicating miniature with right hand, behind scroll with inscription cited as Jeremiah 3.
Old Testament:
1) Joseph: cast into Pit -- Half-figure of Joseph, with joined hands is visible at top of well. He is flanked by 11 brothers, two with hands on his head and shoulders. Of the other brothers, one wears hat, three wear hoods, two pairs face each eather in conversation, one with joined hands looks upward.

2) Jonah: cast overboard -- On ship, two of four men, wearing hats, hold legs of Jonah over side of the ship, upper half of his body in mouth of fish emerging from water. Another man, wearing hood, looks on, with joined hands; the fourth holds rudder (?).
