Roman de la Rose: Scene, Virginius slaying Daughter and Virginius bringing Daughter's Head to Appius Claudius-- Virginus, wearing feathered cap, with right hand raises sword and with left hand extends by her hair head of his daughter Virginia, eyes closed, bleeding from neck, her headless body folded over on floor before Appius Claudius, wearing hat and dark robes, raising right hand, seated on throne, accompanied by man, wearing hat.
