Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing short loin cloth and crown of thorns, with eyes closed, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Flanking him are seven scrolls inscribed with last words of Christ: 1) SACIO, 2) IN MANUS TUAS DOMINE COMMENDO SPIRITUS MEUS, 3) HELY HELY LAMAZABATHAM, 4) PATER IGNOSCE ILLIS QUI NESCIO UT QUID FACIUNT, 5) CONSUMMATUM EST, 6) MULIER ECCE FILIUS TUUS, 7) ECCE MATER TUA. At base of cross are Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with joined hands; Evangelist John, nimbed; and scattered skull and bones. Scene in landscape with distant city of Jerusalem.
Margins with floreate and scroll ornament arranged in lozenges. In left margin are two ostrich plumes (emblem of Henry VII ?) and bird. In lower right corner is castle, with armored soldier standing in tower.
