Solomon: anointed -- In initial U, Nathan holds fold of garment in left hand and with right hand scroll inscribed VIVAT REX I(N) [E]T(ERNUM) based on I Kings 1:39. In initial D, Solomon, crowned, holds scepter in right hand and globe in left hand and sits on bench, beside Zadok, with head draped, raising vessel of affusion in right hand anointing him.
Scene against gold background, in monogram initials U+D at beginning of Proper Preface for Pentecost.
