Augustine of Hippo, nimbed, wearing bishop’s miter and cope fastened with morse, with gloved right hand holds heart and with gloved left hand holds crozier, before decorated draped panel and in room with arched window and tiled floor. Margins decorated with border of strewn flowers including peony, daffodil, and forget-me-not, and inhabited by moth. Miniature facing the beginning of the Confessio of St. Augustine.
