Scene, Liturgical: Burial, Grave-digging -- Three hooded mourners and two acolytes, including one holding processional cross in left hand, stand with tonsured priest, wearing vestments, holding aspergil in right hand and spade in left hand, all beside grave being dug by fossor (gravedigger), holding shovel (spade) in both hands. In the grave lays body sewn into shroud. Scene in graveyard enclosed by stone wall. Skulls and bones strewn on ground, and in background are church and grave marker.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux, vinescroll, and floreate ornament, with foliate baguettes framing miniature and textblock.
