Livres des Merveilles du Monde: Scene, Moesia -- In field, man ties sheaf of wheat beside another man, wearing hat, cutting grain with scythe held with right hand. To right, man wearing pointed hat and with scimitar tied to belt, pours water from jug onto fire, and raises left hand. Scene in landscape wth crenellated buildings in background. Scene in hilly landscape with mountain and trees with city in background. Initial M of Messie decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature for Livre de Merveilles du Monde for Moesia (Bulgaria).
