Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, wearing crown of thorns on inclined head and loincloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus inscribed INRI. He is flanked by Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, and Evangelist John, with hands crossed. Both are nimbed. In background at left are two holy women, and soldier, wearing armor. At base of the cross are bones and skull. Scene in landscape setting.
Margins are decorated with floreate border, including thistles and violas, inhabited by two birds.
