Maxentius, wearing fur-lined hat and ermine-trimmed robe, stands with both hands raised beside spiked wheel, being broken apart by stones falling from heaven. Beside the wheel kneels Catherine of Alexandria, nimbed, wearing ermine-trimmed gown, with joined hands raised. Scene in landscape with trees and distant hills.
Margins with floreate and vinescroll ornament in curvilinear patterns, inhabited by two-legged fantastic animal.
