Francis of Assisi: Scene, preaching to the Birds -- Within trilobed frame, Leo of Assisi, in hooded Franciscan habit, seated with right hand to face, and two dogs, one on hind legs, flank Francis, nimbed, tonsured, wearing Franciscan habit, holding lamb in left hand and raising right hand addressing, outside the frame, five birds, two flying, including black bird, and three, including owl, perched on branch.
