Left column:
Christ: Betrayal and Arrest --Standing next to scroll inscribed AUE RABI (Matthew 26:49, Mark 14:45)Judas grasps with right arm, head of Christ, crossed nimbus, and kisses Him. Rope is around breast of Christ, one of group of soldiers, wearing helmet and armor with sword at waist, grasps the rope with left hand. Other soldiers hold spears; one holds lantern. Next to head of Christ is scroll inscribed TANQ(UAM) AD LAT(RO)NE(M) EXISTIS C(OM)P(RE)HEND(ERE) ME (Matthew 26:49, Mark 14:48). At left, Peter, nimbed raises sword with right hand above Malchus, reaching for club with right hand and raising left hand, crouching on ground next to lantern (Apostle, Peter: cutting off Ear of Malchus).Right column:
