1) Christ: Sermon on Mount -- In initial U, Christ, cross-nimbed, sits at bottom of mount, and raises His right hand indicating in His left hand scroll inscribed BEATI PAVP(ER)ES SP(IRIT)V from Matthew 5:3. In initial D, two nimbed apostles, including Peter with right hand raised, stand.
Scene against gold background, in monogram initials U+D at beginning of Proper Preface for Apostles.
2) Apostle:Scene, Martyrdom -- In initial U, executioner holds scabbard in left hand and with right hand raises sword. In initial D, nimbed apostle with bleeding neck fall from building.
