Apollonia of Alexandria: Scene, Torture -- Emperor Decius (?), wearing ermine-trimmed hat and garment, with left hand indicates Apollonia, nimbed, with her hands bound over her head behind a tree. A tormentor, wearing sword sheathed at his waist, pulls her teeth with pincers held in both hands. Scene in landscape.
Margins with floreate and vinescroll ornament, in circular patterns, inhabited by bird and snail.
