Divina Commedia, Inferno: Scene, Punishment of Thieves -- Dante, wearing hat, stands behind Virgil, with right hand indicating nude souls of thieves, each bound by serpent. To right, serpent bites neck of soul of Vanni Fucci, who is shown again at right, turned to ashes and fallen to ground. In lower margin, Dante and Virgil converse with nude soul of Vanni Fucci, who is shown again at right, with serpents binding his neck and wrists.
