Upper half: Job: Satan departing -- At left, Job, partly draped, seated on bench, behind him is crouching devil, with right hand raised. To right, angel is gesturing; all within architectural niche and buildings. From chapter 1 of Job. Job: Death -- At right, Job, eyes closed, with right hand on bared breast, reclining beneath covers, head on pillows of bed of the canopy type. Wife of Job, veiled with wimple, and possibly his two sons standing behind the bed with joined hands raised. From chapter 42 of Job. Lower half: Nebuchadnezzar: Dream I -- At left, Nebuchadnezzar, wearing hat, eyes closed, partly upright in bed beneath covers, at his feet stands small figure of woman, with both hands raised. Scene in vaulted bedroom with crenellated roof. From chapter 2 of Daniel. Nebuchadnezzar: Wise Men slain -- At right, Nebuchadnezzar, crowned, seated on architectural throne with niche enclosing dog, with his left hand holding scepter and with his right hand raised toward executioner, raising sword above three kneeling men, with joined hands raised.
