Psalm 051 (Vulg., 050)
1) Abraham: communicating with God -- As three-quarter figures, nimbed angel holds scroll, inscribed ABRAHAM TOLLE FILIUM TUUM QUEM DILIGIS YSAAC from Genesis 22:2, in right hand, and extends left hand toward Abraham gesturing.
Scene beside initial M at beginning of commentary on Psalm 51.
2) Abraham: sacrificing Isaac -- Nimbed angel descends with right hand indicating ram caught in tree behind Abraham with knife in right hand. With left hand , he grasps head of Isaac, with hands and feet bound, on draped altar behind two bundles of faggots.
