David: communicating with God -- Christ-Logos (God), with crossed rays as nimbus, emitting rays, with right hand raised in blessing and holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand, appears in arched window above David, wearing purse at waist, kneeling on cushion with joined hands raised before carved prie-dieu with open book with pseudo-inscription and harp. Behind him is columnar table, upon which are crown and sword. Scene in room with paneled walls and tile floor.
Initial D enclosing violas.
Margins with foliate ornament, inhabited by two women, one seated playing harp, and the other standing, playing lute.
