Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, is seated sideways on bridled ass, holding swaddled Christ Child, nimbed. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, walks before ass, holding reins with right hand and, with left hand, draped pedum over left shoulder. Sun or star above emits rays. Scene in landscape with hills, towers, building, trees, and body of water in background.
Margins decorated with floreate ornament including pear (?), strawberry and thistle, and inhabited by two rabbits. In left margin, heraldic shield of Pierre de Bosredont (quarterly, vair and gules).
