David: in Prayer -- Beneath canopy, David, wearing gold chain around collar of vair lined mantle, with joined hands raised, kneels at draped prie-dieu, decorated with architectual ornament, on which is open book. He looks up toward angel hovering, raising sword with right hand. Before prie-dieu is reliquary (?), decorated with statues standing below arches. On floor next to prie-dieu is hat with crown. In background are four men, wearing hats, one playing harp, the other playing lute.
