Pietro de Crescenzi: Livre des Prouffis Champestres et Ruraux, Book III -- Standing beside building with sundial and within barnyard, Pietro de Crescenzi, conversing with another man, indicates, with left hand, two laborers within barn. One threshes grain with flail. The other winnows grain into bag with winnower.
Beyond barn, in fields, one laborer plows field with plow pulled by two oxen. A second laborer, mounted, harrows field with harrow pulled by horse. Third laborer cuts grain with sickle.
Foliate border frames miniature and text. Lower border inhabited by falconer, mounted, turned away from viewer. Falcon is perched on his left arm.
