Upper half:
Joseph the Carpenter: chosen as Husband -- To left of draped altar (?) stand Joachim (?) and Anna, veiled, wearing wimple, with joined hands raised. One of them holds branch. At right are Joseph holding flowering branch and another man, wearing Jew's hat, holding branch.
Lower half:
Virgin Mary: Espousal -- Anna, veiled and wearing wimple, stands behind Virgin Mary, nimbed, hands crossed on abdomen. She faces Joseph, hands crossed on abdomen; another man, wearing Jew's hat, stands behind Joseph, raising left hand.
Exterior settings with grass and small plants.
