Miniature, column:
1) Christ: of Sorrows, between Virgin Mary and Evangelist John -- Three-quarter figure of Christ, nimbus as rays, eyes closed, nude, partly draped with shroud, bleeding from wounds in head, side, and hands, His shoulders partly supported by Evangelist John, beside Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, with arms crossed on breast, partly swooning, both nimbed. Behind them, stem of cross showing nail-hole and stream of blood.
Miniature, vignette, margins:
2) Holy Women: watching Sepulcher -- Among two Holy Women, one wearing headdress, sweeping with broom, the other sweeping with hand broom beside sarcophagus in mouth of sepulcher. Man, possibly Joseph of Arimathea, wearing turban-like headgear, possibly carrying shroud, stands on path in background.
