Shepherds: Annunciation -- Two of four shepherds, wearing hoods, one holding staff with right hand, shading eyes, look up toward bust of angel in arc of Heaven holding scroll inscribed GLORIA IN EX[CELSIS]. Third shepherd, wearing hat indicates angel and looks toward others and the fourth shepherd sits on ground playing bagpipe next to dog. In center shepherdess, veiled and wearing wimple (?) sits with lamb on lap. Sheep are amid shepherds.
Scene in landscape with hills, body of water, church and castle or city wall in distance.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including strawberry and inhabited by hybrid bird and ass.
