Miniature divided into two compartments:
1) Virgin Mary: Death -- Angel, nimbed, appears behind Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, eyes closed, hands crossed, reclining on draped bed. Christ, cross-nimbed, stands beside bed holding personification of soul of Virgin Mary, nimbed, in left hand and raising right hand in blessing. Six apostles (only nimbi of five apostles visible) appear at foot of bed.
2) Virgin Mary: Coronation -- Under trefoil arch, Virgin Mary, nimbed, inclines head toward Christ, cross-nimbed, crowned. With His right hand, he places crown on head of Virgin Mary. He holds tripartite globe in left hand. Both figures are seated on bench.
