Zodiac Sign: Aquarius -- In medallion in right margin, Aquarius stands in stream pouring water from vase held in each hand.
Month, Occupation: January -- In vignette in lower margin, man wearing hood and hat, holding right hand to lips, is seated with his back to fire, on bench, at draped table on which is covered vessel, loaf (?), and knives (?). Vignette is flanked by two heraldric shields, one of Knights of Rhodes (gules, a cross argent) and the other, incorporating Knights of Rhodes (quarterly, 1 and 4 gules, a cross argent, 2 and 3 argent, a chief dancettee gules).
Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament, including strawberry, inhabited by rabbit.
