Pentecost -- Within upper loop of initial S, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with joined hands, seated with open book on lap, is flanked by eleven Apostles, nimbed, some with joined hands and Evangelist John seated with open book on lap, raising right hand. Dove of Holy Ghost hovers above Virgin Mary amid rays extending to Apostles.
Apostle, Peter: teaching -- Within lower loop of initial S Peter, nimbed, raising left hand and holding in right hand scroll inscribed IOEL: EFFUNDAM DE SP(IRIT)U MEO S(UPE)R O(MN)EM CAR(NEM), standing before three men wearing hats, the foremost raising right hand and holding with left hand scroll probably inscribed QUIA MUSTO PLENI S(UNT).
