Magi: Adoration -- Joseph the Carpenter, nimbed and wearing hat, raising right hand, holding crutch with left hand, stands behind Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, seated on bench. She holds with both hands, nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus, raising right hand, extending left hand to face of eldest Magus, holding container with left hand and crown with right hand, possibly kissing the hand of Christ Child. The other two Magi, crowned, stand in background, one holding covered container with right hand and indicating kneeling Magus with left hand. The third Magus raises right hand and holds covered chalice with draped left hand.
Background of red and gold diaper.
Margins decorated with border of foliate rinceaux sprouting from rectilinear bars enclosing text.
Beginning of introit for Mass on the feast of the Adoration of the Magi.
