David: communicating with God -- Bust of God, rays as crossed nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, holding cross surmounted globe with left hand appears in arc of Heaven above draped altar on platform, with retable. David, wearing hat with crown, plays harp, kneeling before the altar, looking up toward God.
Scene is against background of diaper. Blue heads appear above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by fox, wearing hat, astride or emerging from back of fantastic animal, man wearing hat holding round shield (buckler) with right hand and spear with left hand, and peacock. Gold geometric ornament on each corner of miniature.
