Sebastian of Rome: Scene, Torture --Sebastian, nimbed, wearing short drawers, stands on turf bench with back to tree, right hand tied to limb overhead, left hand behind him, his body bleeding, pierced by eight arrows. Two archers stand in foreground aiming arrows at Sebastian. Garment is on ground. Buildings in background include arcade and church with steeple.
Margins decorated with border of flowers and plants including sweet pea, speedwell, and strawberry, and inhabited by two flies and butterfly. In lower margin, monkey wearing clothes and shoes, holding with right hand lead around neck of bear, crouching, one paw to mouth. (Scene, Burlesque)
