Zone 1:
Samuel: called by God -- Beneath curtains draped over rod, Eli, seated on draped four-post bed, raises left hand toward Samuel raising right hand and holding scroll in left hand. To right, Samuel, reclining in draped four-post bed, looks up at God, nimbed, with scroll in left hand and with right hand pointing, emerging from clouds, above two seraphs flanking cross-surmounted Ark of Covenant on draped altar. Zone 2:
Ark of Covenant: fetched from Shiloh -- Cross-surmounted Ark of Covenant is borne on handbarrow by two of six Israelites, four blowing trumpets, headed by Hophni and Phinehas with their heads draped. To right, armed Israelite soldiers, in mail, three with visors, armed with sword, lances, one with heraldic banner decorated with rosettes, and shields, ride bridled horses, one caparisoned.
