Christopher of Lycia: carrying Christ Child -- Christopher, nimbed, walking through water, staff in right hand, supports with draped left hand, Christ Child, rays as nimbus, sitting on his left shoulder. Christ Child raises right hand in blessing, and holds cross surmounted tri-partite globe with left hand. Hermit is on shore in background holding lantern. Buildings are on hills in distance.
Margins decorated with border of gold vine scroll with flowers including viola, speedwell and daisy.
