John Baptist, nimbus as rays, wearing mantle over garment of skins, with right hand indicating Lamb of God, nimbed, holding bannered cross-staff, recumbent on closed book, and held in his left hand. In hilly landscape with silhouettes of birds flying in V-formation and city buildings in far background. Margins decorated with border of scrolling acanthus and flowers including rose and forget-me-not. Miniature facing the beginning of Memoria to John Baptist.
