Angel, Archangel Michael: transfixing Satan -- Archangel Michael, wearing armor and cape, raising sword with right hand, extends cross inscribed shield in left hand to devil, grasping the shield with both hands. Michael stands on right leg of the devil, seated on ground.
Miniature enclosed in frame of two columns supporting tripartite arch, decorated with corbels and surmounted by fleur-de-lis.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including daisy, and inhabited by bird, hybrid woman wearing headdress, playing harp, and hybrid man, wearing bi-color hood with animal ear on one side, playing bagpipe.
