Miniature, upper left: 1) Virgin Mary: Presentation -- Joachim, wearing soft hat, raising hands, accompanies Anna, nimbed, wearing wimpled veil, supporting with both hands infant Virgin Mary, nimbed, with joined hands raised, standing on altar entering extended draped hands of Abiathar, wearing hat and high priest’s vestments. Miniature, lower left: 2) Legend: Golden Table -- Among two men, wearing hats, one with pouch tied to belt, each hold rope of net in which is table, beneath Personification of Sun in sky. Scene on shore with water in background. Miniature, upper right: 3) Jephthah: Sacrifice -- Jephthah, wearing soft hat, raising scimitar with right hand, places left hand on altar on which his daughter, kneels with joined hands raised. Scene in hilly landscape with trees. Miniature, lower right: 4) Wife of Nebuchadnezzar: in Hanging Garden -- Wife of Nebuchadnezzar, crowned, hands crossed, stands flanked by plants on crenellated balcony surmounting tower in square building with lancet windows; two trees, grow next to the tower.
