Christ: Crucifixion and Christ: of Sorrows -- Christ, rays as cross nimbus, with crown of thorns, eyes open, wearing short loincloth, holds right hand under wound in side, His left hand and feet affixed with two nails to tau-cross. Behind Him is scroll inscribed MON PERE AYEZ COMPASSION DES PECHEVRS PAR MA PASSION. Below, left, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, her left breast exposed, stands, orant, next to scroll inscribed FILZ QUI ALAICTAS MA MAMELLE POVR LES POVRES PECHEVRS J'APPELLE. To right of cross is scroll inscribed IESVS AVEC SA DOVLCE MERE PRIEZ POVR NOVS A DIEV LE PERE, next to donor, with hands joined, kneeling, his hat on ground beside him. Above cross in cloud edged arc of heaven is half figure of God, crowned, raising right hand in blessing, holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand, surrounded by scroll inscribed PAR TANT DE SIGNES DAMYTIE ME CONSENS DEN AVOIR PITIE. Scene in landscape with trees.
Miniature of grisaille and gold with painted accents, within Italianate architectural frame decorated with masks, twisted columns, two cameos, of man and woman, within wreaths, and foliate ornament.
