Christ: Resurrection -- Christ, cross-nimbed with rays, wearing short loin cloth and red mantle tied at breast, raises right hand and in left hand holds bannered cross-staff, stands on lid of partly opened sarcophagus, on which leans right arm of helmeted soldier, holding spear in left hand, looking up toward Him, and among three further helmeted soldiers, sitting on ground, two have their eyes closed (sleeping), one wears zoomorphic knee plates, holding halberd in crossed arms, and one holds shield and spear in crossed arms, the foremost, wearing helmet with feather, leans on spear held in right hand, and looks up toward the Christ. Scene in landscape with city in background. Framed text block of 15 lines is suspended from tree branch over path with arbor and foliage in foreground. Trees and foliage forming arch over scene; miniature within architectural frame.
