Roman de la Rose: Scene, Nature at her Forge -- Beside fire on forge in architectural niche (representing chimney), Personification of Nature sits on bench, raises hammer with right hand, and holds with left hand form of limb (arm) on anvil. Scene against patterned background within frame of miniature decorated with tendrils in right column.
In bottom of left column, rubric caption of scene, CI PARLE L'AUCTEUR DE NATURE CO(M)MENT ELLE EST EN SA FORGE ET DE SES OEURES.
