Upper half: Legend, True Cross: Miracles at Pool of Bethesda -- At left, accompanied by five men (most with only heads visible), Solomon, crowned, with right hand raised to breast and with left hand holding scepter, looking down toward Bethesda pool, in which is plank and kneeling angel, nimbed. The pool is surrounded by four cripples, one reclining beneath roof, one wearing hat over head, seated, one wearing hat, walking on crutches with bandaged foot, and another walking on hand crutches. To right, among two men, one gesturing toward the pool, the other, wearing hood, with right hand on staff, both supporting cripples on shoulders. Lower half: Joachim: Offerings rejected -- At left, group of four kneeling men and Anna, veiled with wimple, at least three with joined hands raised, accompany Joachim, kneeling with joined hands raised, all before altar within architectural setting, and High Priest, wearing miter, pushing lamb away from altar. Joachim: Annunciation -- At left, Joachim, wearing purse tied to belt, with left hand raising hat and with right hand raised toward half figure of nimbed angel, emerging from cloud, with left hand lowering scroll with illegible inscription.
