Zone 1:
1) Samuel: petitioned for a King -- Under arch of building, Samuel, with head draped, sits on bench with footstool and raises hands toward four elders addressing him. Illustration of I Samuel 8:4,5.
2) Saul: anointed -- Samuel, with head draped, and Saul embrace under arch. Samuel pours oil on Saul's head from vessel of affusion; Saul's servant, wearing cap, with spear in right hand, and left hand raised, departs to right. Illustration of I Samuel 10:1.
Zone 2:
1) Saul: meeting Prophets -- Rays from dove of Holy Ghost descend upon Samuel, with head draped, beside Saul, flanked by six prophets, gesturing. Illustration of I Samuel 10:10.
2) Saul: chosen King at Mizpeh -- Within portal, four Israelites accompany Samuel, with head draped, holding book in left hand, pointing with right hand to Saul; two Israelites at right. Illustration of I Samuel 10:23-25.
